The Metropolitan Chief Executive(MCE) of Accra, Hon Elizabeth Kwatsoe Sackey, has commiserated with the family of   Prince Bentum Sarkwa, a 12-year-old boy who lost his life through a firebreak which occurred at Chorkor in the Ablekuma South Sub-Metropolitan District.

Solomon Lamptey, a 15-year-old who also got seriously injured through the firebreak on Sunday is on admission at the hospital.  

Addressing family members on Tuesday when she paid a visit to the fire scene to assess the situation, Mayor Sackey expressed her condolence and assured the family of the Assembly’s support.

The MCE was accompanied by some officials from the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) and the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO). 

Meanwhile, the Fire Service is currently conducting investigations to determine the cause of the fire.
