She heads international relations and special projects of the assembly.
She manages relationships the city has or intends to develop with international parties and sister cities
She shall also;

  • Evaluate potential partnerships for the Assembly
  • Seek out international partnerships for the city.

She also oversees specific projects the Mayor wants to implement.

Desmond Chris Appiah

Chief Sustainability Advisor

The Chief Resilience and Sustainability Advisor coordinates all activities that inform resilience, climate change and sustainability of the City Of Accra.
In this regard, he also;

  • Identifies factors that can negatively affect the city’s growth and development and work to develop strategies to resolve them.
  • Advises the Mayor on how to plan and implement such strategies and ensures that the Assembly gets the right consequence.
  • Leads the city’s efforts to developing a Climate Action Plan that is compatible with the Paris Agreement.

He is the City Lead for the Bloomberg Initiative for Global Road Safety (BIGRS) partnership and oversees the implementation of the road safety programs.
He is also the C40 City Advisor on climate change.

Moses Quarshie

Head of Investments

He heads the Office for Investment and Business Development attached to the office of the Mayor. He develops investment opportunities for the Assembly and ensures that those opportunities are procured properly.

He also receives business proposals from private entities that want to do business with the Assembly, evaluates such proposals and recommend it to management for consideration .

He Oversees the Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects of the Assembly including the City Corner Project, Tuesday Market Project, 31st Makola Market Project and plans for the redevelopment of Rawlings Park.

The office has so far;

  • Implemented recommendations for reforms in the collection of revenue
  • Managed PPP engagement with the Public Private Investment Division (PPID) of the Ministry of Finance.
  • Engaged numerous investors to procure private investments to develop various aspects of the Assembly.
  • Provided investment information to both private and public institutions.
